The IRS collects taxes and administers the Internal revenue code. Internal Revenue Service also oversees various welfare accounts. The primary responsibility of the Internal Revenue Service is to maximize tax revenue and resolve matters of fake tax filings.
The origin of IRS dates back to 1862 with the Commissioner of Internal Revenue to assess the nation’s first income tax, to raise the funds for the American Civil War. In 2015, the Internal Revenue Service handled about 240 million returns and received about $3.3 trillion as revenue.

Internal Revenue Service Customer Service(IRS):
The Internal Revenue Service functions by publishing the tax forms which the taxpayers choose and use for making calculations and broadcasting their federal tax responsibilities. The Internal Revenue Service also releases some other forms for its internal processing of income tax returns. Apart from collecting the tax and chasing the tax fraudulent, the Internal Revenue Service also subjects administrative rulings and also publishes Internal Revenue Bulletin which contains its internal statements. The controlling consultant of regulations and revenue rulings permits the taxpayers to trust them. If the taxpayers, sometimes sue any of the rules and questions the validity of the statements, the court may determine the decision on it. The Internal Revenue Service also releases formal statements called Revenue procedures that explain and guides the taxpayers to fix their prior tax errors. It also has an operational manual called the Internal Revenue Manual which explains the official workings for processing and auditing tax returns. This manual also has a special procedure for dispensing the tax returns of the President and Vice President of US.
